Aliens
The only survivor of the space freighter Nostromo, Ellen Ripley's shuttle is discovered by a chance encounter from a deep space salvage team. She is revived from her hypersleep to discover that she had been drifting for 57 years. Ripley's report about the alien is met with extreme skepticism. She is shocked to learn that LV-426, the moon where her crew first encountered the alien, is now home to a terraforming colony.
Some weeks go by before it becomes apparent that contact with the colony has been lost. A squad of Colonial Marines is dispatched to investigate, and despite severe misgivings, Ripley joins the expedition.

Definitely the best film in the Alien series, although don't discount the first film, "Alien". This is also a great movie, but is much more reliant on suspense (rather than action) to keep audiences hooked. Don't bother with the "Directors Cut" though, stick to the theatrical version. (It's not always a good idea to put deleted scenes back into a film.)
