HighlanderBorn in 1518 in the (Scottish) highlands, Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) has no idea that he is immortal. Banished from his home, he is saught out by Ramirez (Sean Connery), another of the "immortals", who reveals MacLeod's heritage to him. Little is known about them; they can die, only by decapitation, and when only a few of them are left, they will feel an irresistable urge towards a far-away land, to fight for "the prize".
Released in 1986, this film was - and still remains - my most watched film (although "The Empire Strikes Back" may run a close second). When it came out on video, I watched it at least once a week for a long time. Although I don't watch any film anywhere near as often as that nowadays, it still remains a favourite.
